Police investigating possible threat against Liberty Center Schools

LIBERTY CENTER, Ohio (WTVG) - Liberty Center Schools are working with the Henry County Sheriff's Department to ensure student safety following a possible threat to the school.

According to a Facebook post from the school, school officials were notified of that threat Thursday night. They say they're taking every precautionary measure to make sure school is safe for students to attend on Friday.

The threat comes as Anthony Wayne schools increase security stemming from new information about a similar threat back in November. According to a letter sent home to parents Thursday:

"The high school administration and Whitehouse Police investigated this new information and addressed these new concerns with the specific student and have taken action in alignment with Ohio Law. While the specific student will not be in attendance, we will have additional Whitehouse Police officers present for the remainder of the school year to help all feel safe in the building."
