Police investigating two threats at Ottawa Hills High School

OTTAWA HILLS, Ohio (WTVG) - Ottawa Hills Police are investigating two threats at Ottawa Hills High School. According to a letter that went home to parents, there were two incidents that took place at the school. The first took place on Sunday, November 4. School officials say the phrase "Watch out November 5" was found in a bathroom at the school. Then on Monday, "Watch out November 6" was left in another bathroom. The school says police have already been inside the building to investigate. Some parents decided to take their child out of class for the day. School officials say they do not believe either threat is credible.

An email sent to parents reads: "Please know that it is safe for your children to finish the school day and attend school tomorrow. After-school events will take place as usual. We continue to have increased police presence throughout the school day to help calm nerves that may be frazzled. However, there is no reason to believe that there is, or ever has been, a danger for your children to finish the school day and attend school tomorrow."

13abc has reached out to the Ottawa Hills Police Department for more information on the investigation.
