TOLEDO, Ohio (13abc Action News) - A robbery incident that started in Michigan came to an end Tuesday afternoon in South Toledo.
A detective with Monroe police tells 13abc that three people broke into two Southeast Michigan homes earlier in the day and stole items from one of them.
A car suspected to be involved with the robbery was spotted in Bedford Township, Michigan and Monroe Police contacted Toledo Police to help locate it.
The vehicle in question was eventually spotted near Colburn and Stebbins in Toledo. That's when the driver lead police on a chase down South Avenue to Colburn where it came to an end at a leasing office.
A man and woman were taken away in an ambulance with minor injuries. Another woman was taken into custody.
Police removed a laptop, television and clothes from the crashed vehicle. Stolen jewelry and other electronics were also found inside.
Monroe Police will take some of the merchandise back to its owner, while other items will be processed for evidence.
A detective tells 13abc the incident appears to be drug-related because drug paraphernalia was found inside the vehicle as well.
Detectives will release more information around this crime tomorrow.
