MONROE Co., Mich. (WTVG) - A power outage in Michigan has forced one school district to close schools on what was supposed to be their last day.
Students in Summerfield Schools in Monroe County were scheduled to attend a final half day Tuesday to complete testing. Instead, they'll have to complete that testing on Wednesday.
According to DTE, the outage is affecting about 1,500 customers in the area due to an equipment malfunction. Power should be restored by about mid-afternoon.
