Rep. Barbara Sears to leave Ohio House

TOLEDO (13abc Action News) - State Representative Barbara Sears is giving up her seat in the Ohio House to serve as Assistant Director of the Governor's Office of Health Transformation.

The announcement came from the Ohio Speaker of the House.

He said in a statement that he has no doubt Sears will continue to work to improve the quality of life for all Ohioans.

Years ago Sears served as Sylvania City Council President. Her new position begins July 1st.
