Hillsdale man drowns at South Sand Lake
A 62-year-old Hillsdale man died Saturday after drowning at South Sand Lake.
The Sheriff’s department identifies the man as Raymond Gibson.
Rescue crews responded to the call for a drowning at around 1:30
Saturday afternoon on Hallett Road. First responders spoke with family members when they arrived. They said Gibson went into the water and did not surface. The search then began on the south shore of the lake.
Divers found Gibson’s body at around 5:30pm in about 18 feet of water.
