Restaurant Report Card: 9.26.19 Pho Viet Nam

Sometimes during an inspection, a sanitarian finds live pests. Other times, there's evidence of live pests, including mouse droppings.

On 16-Sep-2019, an inspector with the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department spotted mouse droppings inside Pho Viet Nam, 3636 Upton Avenue A, Toledo. They were listed as one of 14 violations (4 critical & 10 non-critical). Among those:

X Mouse droppings on shelves in back storage area.

X Dead pests inside Nestle cooler with rice and spices.

X Small cans of wood stain stored above chopsticks.

Those three critical violations and one other non-critical violation were corrected during the inspection.

In response, a spokesperson for Pho Viet Nam told 13abc over the phone:

"Everything was corrected on the spot, it's just a matter of cleaning ... The non-critical violations are very fixable."
