Roundabout construction to impact back-to-school commute for Penta Career Center

ROSSFORD, Ohio (WTVG) - ODOT is constructing two roundabouts in Rossford: one at Buck Road and Lime City Road and one at Buck Road and the Penta Career Center entrance. The project was on a tight schedule to have it completed by the start of the school year on August 26, but due to a soggy spring, construction is behind schedule.

Construction will be on-going at the start of the school year, but ODOT, project contractors and Penta have come up with a plan to get students easily and safely to/from school. Beginning August 26, a special traffic pattern will be in place each day between the hours of 7:30 and 8:30 a.m:

- Eastbound traffic only on Buck Road between Bates Road and Lime City Road.
- Westbound traffic on Buck Road up to business driveways and access to southbound Lime City Road. (Traffic maintained by flaggers)
- Lime City Road, north of Buck Road, closed.
- Southbound traffic on Lime City Road, between Buck and Mandell.
- Northbound Lime City Road closed at Mandell Road.

At all other times, the following traffic pattern will be in place:

- Eastbound traffic only on Buck Road between Bates and Lime City.
- Westbound traffic on Buck Road up to business driveways only; no access to Lime City Road.
- Lime City Road, north of Buck Road, closed.
- Northbound and southbound traffic on Lime City Road, between Buck and Mandell.

These traffic patterns are expected to be in place for 30 days.
