3 arrested after East Toledo standoff

TPD and SWAT trying to negotiate with barricaded man who fired a gun.

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - UPDATE: Crews have cleared the scene, and the two barricaded adults and a child are out.

According to Toledo Municipal Court records, Theodore Walker, Jr. and Tiffany Johnson were both inside of a unit with their 5-year-old son and refused to come outside sparking a standoff with the SWAT team.

The standoff ended and both adults were taken into custody. The child is safe and in custody of children's services.


Toledo Police and SWAT crews are at the scene of an East Toledo apartment attempting to negotiate with at least one person barricaded inside.

According to police at the scene, at least one person fired a weapon just after 1:30 am Saturday. No one was injured.

At least one person is barricaded inside an apartment at Ravine Park Village off Seaman Rd.

Negotiators are at the scene, using a megaphone to try and get those inside the unit to come out of the building.
