TOLEDO (WTVG) - It's a big day for the Toledo Lucas County Public Library. The new Mott Branch on Dorr Street is now open.
It's a day that has been years in the making. The branch took just over a year to build and cost about $9 million.
The space is full of everything you'd expect at a library like books and computers. However, there are also several special features including a recording studio and an interactive play area for children.
The manager says the new library is a game changer for the community and will be an important part of the area for generations.
The Grand Opening celebration runs until 7 tonight.
