Two injured in I-75 crash

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (WTVG) - The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three vehicle injury crash, involving a commercial vehicle on I75 near Milepost 189 in Wood County, north of Bowling Green.

The crash occurred around 6:10 p.m. All three lanes were restricted on the northbound side for about four hours.

A 1998 GMC Yukon driven by David Hass, age 21 of Bowling Green was traveling northbound in the right hand lane of Interstate 75. Richardo Ballez II, age 25 of Sylvania was in the car as well.

A 2002 Peterbilt Conventional Semi Truck driven by Leighton Stevens, age 40 of Hopkins, Texas was also northbound in the right hand lane when it rear ended the GMC Yukon.

The GMC Yukon went across the northbound lanes of Interstate 75. A 2019 Ford F-250 driven by Katelynne Hall, age 19 of Haskins was in the center lane when it swerved to avoid striking both vehicles. All three vehicles went into the median

Haas and Ballez were flown by air ambulance to Saint Vincent's Hospital in Toledo. Stevens and Hall were not injured in the crash.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
