Toledo Police search for robbery suspect

TOLEDO (WTVG) - Toledo Police are searching for a suspect who they say robbed at local carryout with a knife.

It happened overnight Thursday at the 7-Eleven on Bancroft.

Police say the suspect walked into the convenience store, held up a pocket knife and demanded money from the cashier.

Investigators described the suspect as a woman dressed in all black clothing, including a black North Face jacket and a black scarf.

Police say the woman took off with an unknown amount of cash and was seen leaving in a red pickup truck driven by a man.

"Unfortunately, these incidents can happen anywhere," said Lt. Kevan Toney. "In this case we are fortunate that no one was hurt."

Detectives are interviewing a potential witness and reviewing surveillance video.
