Toledo Public Schools rise from F to D on State Report Card

TOLEDO (WTVG) - Toledo Public Schools are improving. The Ohio Department of Education gave them a D in overall performance for the district in this year's statewide report cards, which is up from the F they received in last year's evaluation.

The Department of Education creates these grades based on a number of factors, including achievement, progress, gap closing, improving at-risk K-3 readers, graduation rates, and prepared for success.

Ottawa Hills once again received A grades in five of the six major categories. They did not receive a grade for "improving at-risk K-3 readers" as they do not have enough students to evaluate.
