COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVG) The Toledo Troopers will be a focal point of the Ohio - Champion of Sports exhibit at the Ohio History Center in Columbus starting March 16.

The team, recognized by the Pro Football Hall of Fame as the “winningest team in professional football history,” will be honored in the interactive exhibit, along with individual players from the franchise that won seven world titles in a row in the 1970s.

Ohio–Champion of Sports will showcase more than 70 stories and 35 oral histories covering baseball, football and basketball, as well as roller derby, skateboarding and e-gaming. The exhibit showcases the Ohio athletes, coaches, owners and fans at the center of the action.

The Toledo Troopers was established in 1971, and was a member of the National Women’s Football League. The team held the record of 61-4 over that period, and was World Champion in 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976 and 1977.
