Two boats catch fire at Bay View Yacht Club

Fire crews from the Toledo Fire Department are on scene at the Bay View Yacht Club after two boats went up in flames in the early morning hours of Wednesday.

According to the Fire Department, the boats involved were a sailboat and a powerboat. The sailboat eventually sank as a result.

Fighting the fires posed a challenge for fire crews as the boats were at the end of the slip. Firefighters were assisted by the Coast Guard.

According to dispatchers with the department, those fires were extinguished by 6 AM and no one was injured. The fires are not being investigated as suspicious.
