Two found dead after Hancock Co. mobile home fire

Authorities have not yet released the names of two people killed inside a mobile home that caught fire early Sunday.

The fire was first reported to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office at 1:57AM Sunday.

It was in a mobile home at 15043 County Road 26 in Jackson Township. A neighbor told 13abc that he woke up in the middle of the night and say an "orange glow" through the window. He called 9-1-1 but described the mobile home as fully engulfed.

Firefighters, officers and emergency personnel from Delaware Township Fire, Arlington Fire, the Hancock County Sheriff's Office and Hanco EMS responded.

After the fire was extinguished, firefighters discovered the bodies of two people inside the home.

The State Fire Marshal's Office, Hancock County Coroner and Hancock County Sheriff's Office are investigating to determine a cause of the fire.

Neighbors said a man and woman lived at the address for about the past year.
