Police release images of suspects in Summit Market shooting

Police have released this image of the suspects from Sunday's shooting at the Summit Market on N. Summit St.

TOLEDO (WTVG) - Two people were taken to a local hospital after being shot inside the Summit Market on N. Summit St. in Toledo on Sunday evening.

According to Toledo Police, the shooting took place just before 5 p.m. in the 3700 block of N. Summit.

Ismail Awad, 63, of Monroe, Mich., and Jose Rodriguez, 50, of Toledo, were both taken to Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center. Their conditions are unknown.

Rodriguez told police that two unknown black males came into the store and brandished handguns in a robbery attempt. Multiple shots were fired, and both Awad and Rodriguez were struck at least one time each.

On Tuesday, police released images of suspects in the shootings.

There is currently no one in custody.
