TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Two motorcyclists were taken to the hospital after they were hit by a car in Point Place. Toledo Police say the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Investigators say the motorcycle was headed northbound on Summit, when a Dodge Caliber failed to yield at a flashing red light. The two vehicles collided at the intersection of N. Summit and 124th Street.
A man and a woman were on the motorcycle at the time of the crash. Police tell 13abc both people were wearing helmets. They were said to be conscious and alert while being transported to the hospital. The male driver of the Dodge was not hurt. He was cited for the accident. It's not clear if drugs or alcohol are a factor.
