SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTVG) - Drivers around the area are dealing with crashes and slow-downs because of icy roads this morning.
Our newest trouble spot is on Holland Sylvania near 475. Sylvania Township police are asking that drivers avoid the area.
Drivers in Sylvania Township saw multiple crashes this morning, starting around 5:00 AM on US 23 northbound. A crash in the southbound lanes in the same area slowed traffic back to Monroe Street.
In Oregon, police cleared a crash that injured at least one person on Navarre near Stadium, and involved a semi. Dispatchers tell 13abc that the overpass was a complete sheet of ice.
And in Toledo, police responded to crashes on Douglas and on the Anthony Wayne Trail, both of which were caused by slick roads according to police.
Drivers need to plan extra time and use extreme caution, especially on overpasses, bridges and ramps this morning.
