Warm spell is delaying fall color

TOLEDO, OH (WTVG) – The 5th warmest September on record and a summer-like start to October is delaying the fall color change around the area. Currently less than 20% of the trees have turned colors in the area. Finally the weather will be ideal to bring out the vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds in the days ahead. However, we are still at least 2 weeks away from peak fall color, and may be 3 weeks away from the best fall foliage depending on the weather the rest of October.
