TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A warrant has been issued for former Toledo Police Officer Kyle Martin, age 27, after he failed to show up for court. The police chief says on January 27, 2019, Toledo Police arrested Martin for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failure to stop after an accident. Kyle Martin resigned from the police department on Thursday.

“I will continue to hold officers to the highest standard, of which the citizens of Toledo expect and deserve” said Chief George Kral. “The response from the on-duty supervisors is exactly what is taught and expected of them when they encounter officer misconduct.”

13abc contacted Martin on the phone and he declined to comment.
