TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - The Wendy's on Airport Highway across from Spring Meadows in Holland reopened Wednesday after an issue with their walk-in freezer forced them to close for a few hours. According to the Lucas County Health Department, sanitarians were in the building to check on a complaint of food-borne illness when the problem was discovered.

The freezer was being kept at the wrong temperature and the employees needed to discard everything before they could reopen. The restaurant shut down voluntarily until they were able to get the cooler fixed. The restaurant then borrowed product from other stores to get them through the day.

A sanitarian was also on hand before they reopened to make sure everything was in working order.
