TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - 3 testing pools in Lucas County have tested positive for the West Nile virus.
According to the Toledo Area Sanitary District, the Ohio Department of Health confirmed those tests. These are not human cases, they are surveillance samples the district collects throughout mosquito season.
The three positive pools are near UT’s Scott Park campus, just east of Stone Oak Country Club in Springfield Township and south of Toledo Country Club going west to Cass Road.
