Toledo police have issued an arrest warrant for a woman accused of throwing a hot grill at another woman over the Memorial Day weekend.

Investigators have charged Tonya Craig, 32, with felonious assault for the incident that happened on Monday around 10:45pm in the 800 block of Cherry Street.

According to the criminal complaint, Craig is accused of punching Sherrita Crumby numerous times in the face. Craig is then accused of attacking Crumby with the grill.

Court records say “Craig then grabbed a grill that had hot charcoal in it and dumped some of it onto the victim causing burns to her body. Craig put the grill down, the picked it back up again and dumped hot coals onto the victim a 2nd time.”

Crumby was taken to Mercy Health Saint Vincent’s for treatment. A spokeswoman tells 13abc that Crumby has been treated and released.
