TOLEDO (WTVG) - A historic career comes to a close at Springfield High School. Taylor Baldwin is the first player in program history to reach 1,000 kills.
"If you would have told me my freshman year I would have accomplished all this, I would not have believed it," said Baldwin.
She was a four-year starter on the varsity team, a first-team all-district player and first-team all league player.
Taylor reached the milestone on October 8th, almost two weeks before the team's last appearance in the state tournament. That means it will take quite the effort to not only reach 1,000 kills but match her total.
She has set a very high bar in the program.
