ARCHBOLD (WTVG) - For the first time this school year, this week will feel somewhat normal for Elijah Zimmerman.
Now that the soccer season has come to a close he won't be bouncing back and forth between soccer and football practices.
Elijah like many athletes plays both sports, but unlike most he's not a kicker for the football team. Instead, he is an all-league defensive back. The Archbold senior excels in both sports, he scored a team-high 21 goals this year in soccer with 12 assists.
"I went through a spring and summer of football lifting, I noticed changes physically and toughness mentally," said Zimmernan.
He credits the offseason football program for part of his success as a difference maker this fall plus in the winter on the basketball court.
