Final Round Rained Out ' Oilers Earn Tournament Victory

Rain forced the second day of the Gilda's Club Laker Invite to be cancelled on Sunday, Sep. 29. With the rain out, the Oilers, which had a nine shot lead after the first round, earn the tournament victory. Findlay, ranked sixth in the country in the latest top 25 poll, shot a team score of 297 (+9).

The Oilers were led by sophomore Jill Schmitmeyer after she posted a one-over par score of 73 in the first round. She currently is three strokes off the lead and is in second place. Right behind Schmitmeyer is teammate Kristina Kniesly, who fired a two-over par score of 74. Her score is good for third at the tournament.

Freshman Danbi Kim and senior Mackenzie Keenoy share a tie for 4th place after their rounds of 75 (+3) while senior Meredith Wipper is in 15th after carding an 80 in round one.
