Fletcher's buzzer-beater gives UT first road win

DETROIT (AP) - Tre'Shaun Fletcher scored 16 points with a career-high 15 rebounds and made a fade-away 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Toledo over Detroit Mercy 89-86 on Wednesday night.

Toledo (5-3) has won two straight after having dropped three in a row.

Detroit's Josh McFolley tied the game at 86 with a pair of free throws with two seconds left. Nate Navigato made 1 of 2 from the free throw with 12 seconds to go. Navigato hit a jumper to make it 85-82 before McFolley made a layup with 17 seconds remaining. McFolley had a 4-point play off a 3-pointer when Fletcher fouled him with 50 seconds to go. McFolley scored Detroit Mercy's last eight points in a 48-second span.

Jaelan Sanford led Toledo with 23 points, Luke Knapke scored 15, Marreon Jackson 14 and Navigato 10. The Rockets outrebounded Detroit Mercy 44-32.

McFolley finished with 24 points, Kameron Chatman and Corey Allen each scored 17 and Jermaine Jackson Jr. had 11 points for Detroit Mercy (4-5).
