Head coach Torrie Bartalone has announced that Stephanie Schalk has signed a letter of intent to bowl at Lourdes University beginning in the 2019-2020 season.
A native of Roseville, Mich., Schalk bowled for Lakeview High School during her prep career.
“Stephanie brings the experience factor and the natural competitive nature that our program has been searching for and missed this past year,” Bartalone said. “She is an outstanding bowler with a drive as proven to win. She not only is a phenomenal athlete but also is a great person and will drive this program to limits we never thought we could achieve in just two short years.”
Schalk was a two-time First Team All-State selection for the Huskies after earning Second Team All-State accolades as a freshman and sophomore. As a senior, she won the Macomb Area Conference White singles and team championships, and was named the league’s Most Valuable Bowler. She was a three-time First Team All-MAC White honoree.
Schalk was named Miss Bowling in Macomb County during her senior season and twice finished with her conference’s highest average during her high school career.
Upon arriving at Lourdes, Schalk plans to major in accounting.
