Lourdes wrapped up its inaugural 2018-2019 season on Sunday with a 13th place finish at the ITC/ISC Sectional Qualifier held at 30 Strikes in Stratford, N.J.
The Gray Wolves finished with a 64-game total of 10,708 pin fall in the two-day event.
“Today was rough, but the ladies learned a lot as far as versatility and preparation for next year,” head coach Torrie Bartalone said afterwards. “They were a team today and just got outbowled due to experience, but we will be back stronger and better next year.”
The fifth set of the day was Lourdes’ best of the day, as the Gray Wolves finished with a four-game total of 707. The team had a high game of 202 in the second game of the fourth set.
The Gray Wolves finished just 55 pins behind 12th place Mount Aloysius in the standings. Maryland-Eastern Shore won the event with a total of 12,476 while Pikeville finished second with a pin fall of 11,915. Webber International (11,885) and Delaware State (11,804) also qualified for the national tournament.
