Lourdes wrapped up its weekend action at the Orange & Black Classic on Sunday, finishing in 28th place at Beaver-Vu Bowl in Beavercreek, Ohio.
The Gray Wolves finished with a two-day total of 6,776 pins, 26 more than Southeastern Illinois and 43 behind Belmont Abbey. Lawrence Tech led the way at 8,097 pins, in the event that saw each team bowl five traditional games on Saturday and 16 Baker games on Sunday.
“After getting off to a rough start on Sunday, the guys bounced back and pushed through a tough day of bakers,” head coach Torrie Bartalone said. “They came together to finish the day strong, led by Kevin Suttles (Monroe, Mich./Monroe H.S.).”
Lourdes saw its best four-game set come at the end of the day, posting a four-game total of 687 to conclude the event. The Gray Wolves rolled a 223 in their second to last game of the day. For the day, Lourdes averaged 162.94.
The Gray Wolves will return to action next Saturday, traveling to Grandville, Mich. to bowl in the West Michigan Laker Classic. Action begins at 8:15 a.m. at Fairlanes.
