COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVG) - Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the OHSAA has postponed all winter sports tournaments until further notice.
This includes includes girls basketball state tournament, wrestling state tournament, ice hockey state tournament, and boys basketball regional tournament.
The association had previously announced all tournaments would be held with limited spectators.
“We will use this time to work with the appropriate state authorities and health experts to determine our next steps moving forward,” OHSAA's Jerry Snodgrass said in a press release. “We realize this is disappointing for our participants and their fans, but the overall health and safety of everyone involved in our tournaments is our priority.”
No timetable has been determined for possible rescheduling for the tournaments.
