Oilers Sweep Ohio Valley

The University of Findlay softball team swept Ohio Valley in their double header on March 16. The pair of wins improved Findlay's record to 10-10 on the season.

Game 1 | W 15-1
Junior Allison Brunner went 2 for 4 behind the plate, scored two runs and recorded two RBI's in game one against the Fighting Scots.
Senior Amanda Delmonte went 3 for 4 and batted in five runners for Findlay.

Freshman Caroline Turner, freshman Alyssa Laisure, and junior Evyn Kachenmeister each went 2 for 2 behind the plate. Laisure scored two runs, while Turner and Kachenmeister each recorded one.
Junior Emily Barr, junior Rebecca Harvey, sophomore Devyn Zuro, senor Salwa Al-Hajabed, and freshman Madelyn Turner scored one run each, while sophomore Dylan Wiley and sophomore Sadie Gearhart each recorded two runs.

Senior Hailey Bryan pitched three innings for the Oilers, recording four strikeouts and only allowing two hits, and no runs.

Sophomore Megan Fisher pitched two innings, recorded one strikeout, and allowed four hits and one run.

Game 2| W 12-5

Brunner had another great game for Findlay in their second win of the day. Brunner went 3 for 4 to score four runs and record two RBIs.
Harvey went 3 for 5 behind the plate, scored one run and batted in two runners, while Gearhart went 2 for 5, scored one run, and batted in three runners.

Delmonte, Wiley, Barr, junior Rachel Vander Roest, junior Lauren Linn, and Turner each scored one run in the win.

Sophomore Caragyn Yanek pitched three innings in the win, recorded two strikeouts, and allowed seven hits and four runs.

Freshman Lyndsey Seamon pitched two innings, recorded two strikeouts, and only allowed three hits and one run.

Freshman Carly Brandon pitched two innings, recorded four strikeouts, and allowed zero runs and zero hits.

The Oilers are back in action on March 20 in Columbus, Ohio where they will face Ohio Dominican in a double header starting at 3:00pm.
