Rugut, Manning win 2019 titles at the Mercy Health Glass City Marathon

TOLEDO (WTVG) - Elijah Rugut won Saturday's Savage 5k in 14 minutes 55 seconds.

Sunday, Rugut was the first person to cross the finish line in the 2019 Mercy Health Glass City Marathon with a time of 2 hours 21 minutes 56 seconds. Rugut is from Kenya but calls Toledo home.

Cincinnati's Amy Manning was the first female overall to the finish line in the 26.2 mile race with a time of 2:52:52.

Nathaniel Orndorf finished first overall in the 2019 Owens Corning Half Marathon by running a personal record of 66 minutes 17 seconds. Orndorf is an avid ultra-runner who currently lives in Akron.

Delta, Ohio native Evan Gaynor finished second in the half marathon with a time of 67:19.

Jane Bareikis from Midiothian, Ill., was the female winner in the half marathon. Bareikis finished in 1:17:08.

Rory Cooper from Gibsonia, Penn., won the handcrank division in 1:50:15.
