Summary: Coach Weaver is proving that a disciplined, hardworking team can succeed. This year they’ll have several young players who need to learn how to be a part of a team in every sense of that word: team. Weaver doesn’t think the offense will be as explosive as last year based on this year’s personnel but they will be bigger up front - returning eight offensive and defense lineman. That means they’ll run better than they will pass. Expect the Bulldogs to score using sustained drives this year. Last year was more high-yardage, big play scoring. Despite a fair amount of player turnover, Coach Weaver believes his team contend in the City League. Their starting quarterback is Da'Mon Connerton-Yates. He is a transfer from Central Catholic HS. He replaces Darnell Thomas who transferred from Scott HS to Springfield HS.
