Several from Northwest Ohio close the year with top-10 finishes at the state cross country championship

HEBRON, Ohio (WTVG) - Notre Dame Academy's Lauryn Mick runs 17 minutes 51.9 seconds in the OHSAA Division I Girls Championship. Mick finishes fourth overall.

Perrysburg had the best finish among teams from Northwest Ohio in the Division I Girls Championship. The Yellow Jackets were 12th overall with 291 points.

In the Division II Girls Championship, Edison's Abby Lesniak crossed the finish line in 19:13.4 - good for 29th overall.

Liberty Center finished fourth overall in the Division III Girls Championship. Sophomore Hope Oelkrug is 5th overall with a time of 18:49.

In the Division III Boys Championship, Ayersville's Noah Fisher tried to repeat as the individual state champion. But Fisher's attempt falls short. He finished fourth overall in 16:06. Fisher will run next year for the University of Findlay.

St. Mary Central Catholic finishes 11th overall in the Division III Boys Championship.

Defiance finished fifth overall in the Division II Boys race. Senior Mhalicki Bronson finished second overall in 15:13.3.

Perrysburg's Marc Baroncini - a junior - finished ninth overall in 15:41.4. The Yellow Jackets as a team finished 14th overall in the Division I Boys Championship.
