Three Garner WHAC Postseason Men’s Cross Country Awards

Three athletes earned postseason Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference honors for the men’s cross country team for the 2018 season.

Junior Lane Trapp (Alexandria, Ala./Alexandria) was named to the WHAC’s Champions of Character Team. Trapp earned the honor for displaying the five core values of NAIA: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

Juniors Kevin Huang (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview) and Jacob Supina (Sandusky, Ohio/Saint Mary Central Catholic) also took home WHAC honors as the pair was named to the WHAC All-Academic Team for their efforts in the classroom and on the course.

Trapp led the Gray Wolves across the finish line in each of his five races this season and turned in a season-best time of 28:37.4 in the 8k gauntlet.

Huang posted a season-best time of 29:55.3 at the All-Ohio Championships, while Supina posted a career-best time of 31:56.0 at the Jenna Strong Fall Classic.
