Toledo Men's Golf in 15th Place After 36 Holes at Fighting Irish Classic

Sophomore Grant Godfrey shot a two-under par 140 (71-69) on Sunday and the University of Toledo is in 15th place following 36 holes at Notre Dame's Fighting Irish Classic. Godfrey is tied for 19th place in the individual standings after registering eight birdies and six bogeys at the par-71, 7,020-yard Warren Golf Course.

Sophomore Jack Boczar registered the Rockets' best score of the day with a three-under par 68 in the second round and is tied for 49th place at two-over par 144 (76-68). Senior Spencer Shoemaker (75-75) and junior Rasmus Broholt Lind (75-75) are tied for 76th place at eight-over par 150.

Rounding out the Rocket lineup is senior Duncan McNeill, who is in 84th place at 12-over par 154 after rebounding from an 82 in the first round with a 72 in the second round.

Illinois is sitting atop the team standings with an amazing 30-under par 538 (270-268), five shots in front of Georgia Southern (266-277). Notre Dame's John Felitto posted the top individual score with a 12-under par 130 (64-66).

The third and final round of the tournament will be held on Monday.
