Toledo moved up five spots following the first round on Saturday and sits in seventh place with approximately one hole to play in the second round at Louisville's Cardinal Cup. The Rockets shot a 28-over par 316 in the opening round before rebounding with an 11-over total in the afternoon.

"The team continued to become comfortable and relaxed as the day went on," first-year head coach Jenny Coluccio said. "They did a great job of embracing the conditions (20-30 mph winds) and being in control of themselves. I'm very proud of how we are learning from every experience and using it in our next round."

Senior Pinyada Kuvanun made the Rockets' biggest jump after posting a six-over par 78 in her first 18 holes. She is at two-under par through 17 holes and is tied for 10th place at four-over par.

"Pinyada turned it on the second round," Coluccio said. "She has been playing very solid and being patient all fall. This afternoon she was able to make things happen by capitalizing on some great scoring opportunities."

Senior Pimchanok Kawil also made dramatic improvement by improving from a seven-over par 79 with a three-over performance through 17 holes leaving her tied for 29th place.

Junior Saranlak Tumfong carded a six-over 78 in the opening round and is tied for 31st place at 11-over par with one hole to play. Senior Natcha Daengpiem is tied for 47th place at 14-over with two holes to place after shooting a nine-over 81 in her opening round.

Rounding out the Rocket lineup is junior Donchanok Toburint tied for 69th place at 23-over par (86-81).

No. 20 Illinois sits atop the team standings at four-over, 10 strokes in front of second-place Maryland. The Fighting Illini's Tristyn Nowlin is the only individual to shoot under par and is at three-under with one hole to play.

Play is expected to resume at approximately 11:15 a.m. tomorrow due to a frost delay with the third and final round beginning immediately after.
