The Toledo women's golf team holds a three-stroke lead over Eastern Washington following Monday's first two rounds in the Battle at Boulder Creek. The Rockets are looking to repeat as tournament champions after posting a 13-shot victory in last year's event at the par-72, 6,252-yard Boulder Creek Golf Club.

"Today was all right overall," Head Coach Jenny Coluccio said. "At times we made the course more complicated than it needed to be, however, they did a good job of turning their focus and energy around for a strong final stretch to the day. They are focused on carrying that energy and intensity into tomorrow's final round."

Seniors Pinyada Kuvanun and Natcha Daengpiem are leading Toledo and each have an opportunity to earn medalist honors in tomorrow's final round.

Kuvanun is looking to defend her individual title and is tied for second place at even-par 144 (70-74) after registering a tournament-best eight birdies. Daengpiem is alone in fourth place at one-over par 145 (74-71) and is tied for third with six birdies.

"Pinyada and Natcha were solid and steady all day," Coluccio said. "Natcha made an adjustment early on with her putting that carried well through the rest of the day."

Wofford's Becca Earl sits atop the individual standings at one-under par 143 (71-72).

Senior Pimchanok Kawil is another Rocket who appears in the Top 10 and is tied for sixth place at seven-over par 151 (76-75). Junior Saranlak Tumong is tied for 13th place at 11-over par 155 (77-78), and junior Thunpijja Sukkasem is tied for 19th place at 13-over par 157 (77-80).

Junior Donchanok Toburint is playing as an individual and tied for 11th place at 10-over par 154 (77-77).
