Whitmer boys, Archbold girls finish second at OHSAA Track and Field Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVG) - Archbold senior Dakota Stamm won her second straight Division III 400-meter dash state championship as she crosses the finish line in 55.82 seconds.

Stamm and her 4x400-meter relay teammates returned to the track at the end of the meet to win that state championship. Stamm was the anchor leg for the team and had to climb several spots to clinch the state title for the Blue Streaks. Stamm will run for Hillsdale College next school year.

On the boys side of the Division III 4x400-meter relay state championship, Liberty Center wins in 3 minutes 22.33 seconds.

In Division II, the Central Catholic High School boys 4x400-meter relay team also comes back in the final leg to win in 3 minutes 18.86 seconds.

Central Catholic Simone Green wins the Division II long jump as she clears 17 feet 9.5 inches.

Erik Fertig will throw for the University of Louisville next school year but before heading to the Bluegrass State, the Eastwood senior wins the Division II discus with a toss of 173 feet 6 inches.

Jaydon Jenkins - a freshman from Elmwood - wins the seated 400-meter dash in 60.17 seconds.

Anthony Wayne's Aiden Green wins the seated 100-meter dash in 17.69 seconds. Jenkins finishes second in 17.86 seconds.

The Archbold girls finish second in the Division II team standings and the Whitmer boys are also second on the Division I list.
