Senior Captain Hannah Scafaria and the Rockets played to a 0-0 draw against the Golden Flashes today.
Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo women's soccer team (8-5-2, 4-2-1 MAC) played top a 0-0 tie against Kent State (8-5-2, 4-2-1 MAC) today in the Rockets' final home match of the regular-season. The draw was the Rockets' first since Aug. 19 when UT and Wright State played to a 1-1 final.

The match also was Toledo's final regular-season home contest at Scott Park, with the team moving to the University of Toledo main campus next season. With today's result, the Toledo soccer program leaves the Scott Park with a 113-64-12 record after 20 years. Toledo played 12 postseason contests at the grounds, claiming three Mid-American Conference titles on the field in 2006, 2008 and 2011.

How it happened
The match was a defensive battle from the start. Toledo tried to set up an offensive presence early on, putting six chances up in the first 30 minutes. Kent State registered four of its own, but none of the chances ever found the back of the net. Senior Natalie Knauf put up a laser toward the end of the period that nearly went in but the chance didn't drop, missing the net. The score remained level after 45 minutes.

Toledo opened the second half hot and quickly put numerous chances up. Senior captain Hannah Scafaria and freshman Ashton Cassel ran in back-to-back chances in the 60th minute but Kent State's goalkeeper Faith O'Neill made both saves. The UT defense worked hard in the second half, limiting the Golden Flashes to one shot on goal.

The first overtime saw limited action. Scafaria put the lone shot up in the period, a 95th-minute low ball that O'Neill was able to lay out for. The second overtime period proceeded in similar fashion. Kent State put two shots up in the closing four minutes but both chances went high, keeping the score at 0-0.
