"Hometown Reads" gives local authors exposure

BEDFORD TWP., MI (13abc Action News) -- A woman is sharing her love for reading through a program called "Hometown Reads."

Becky Robinson, who loves books, is connecting authors with audiences in their own neighborhoods.

The new promotional endeavor is also meant to help fledgling writers get a foothold on the business.

"My theory is that people don't know that great authors writing terrific books live right in their own communities," says Robinson. "So, we want to showcase these authors in their communities and help them in getting the word out about their books."

The Hometown Reads Facebook page is active right now. You can find more information at the link.
