TOLEDO (13abc Action News) - A Maumee artist has donated his time and talents to help children understand cancer.
Greg Justus illustrated a series of three new children's books written by the founder of Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio, Jean Schoen.
The three books were released at the end of 2015 and are intended for beginner readers through young adults.
The purpose of the books is to help children understand a cancer diagnosis and how to emotionally cope with it.
Schoen founded the Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio after experiencing cancer within her own family and being faced with many unanswered questions.
“The books are a continuation of my efforts to educate and support those with questions regarding cancer,“ she said.
Links to purchase the books on Amazon can be found on this page and all proceeds support the organization's free programs and services.
