Candidates Night to be held in Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - The Toledo Community Coalition and the Black & Brown Unity Coalition are holding a Candidates Night on Wednesday.

According to organizers, the event will take place on Oct. 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Warren AME Church located at 915 Collingwood Blvd.

The candidates who were invited include:

  • Paula Hicks-Hudson: Ohio Senate District 11
  • Tony Dia: Ohio State Senate District 11
  • Erika White: Ohio House of Representatives District 42
  • Derek Merrin: Ohio House of Representatives District 42
  • Elgin Rogers Jr.: Ohio House of Representatives District 44
  • Roy Palmer III: Ohio House of Representatives District 44
  • Vallie Bowman-English: Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Juvenile Division
  • Several judge candidates

Organizers say that several candidates have stated they will attend.

Several Issues for renewal will also be discussed including Metroparks, Imagination Station and Toledo Library.
