FULTON Co., Ohio (WTVG) - Two people were taken to local hospitals after four semi-trucks tipped over around 2 p.m. Thursday due to a large gust of wind.

According to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), six vehicles, including four semi-trucks, were traveling west on the Ohio Turnpike in Fulton Township when a severe weather outbreak hit. All vehicles slowed down or stopped when a large gust of wind pushed the four semi-trucks over.

According to the release, one of the semi-trucks landed on two other vehicles.

Two of the semi-truck drivers were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Diesel fuel leaked onto the road as a result of the crash.

Following the crash, the westbound lanes of the turnpike in the area were closed down for about three hours.
