27-year-old killed in Tuesday afternoon crash in Monroe Co.

MONROE Co., Mich. (WTVG) - A 27-year-old woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a crash in Frenchtown Township.

According to a press release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, a 2025 Ford Expedition was driving south on N. Monroe Street around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then struck a 2020 Ford Fusion driven by Cloe Klatt, 27.

According to the release, Klatt was making a left turn onto westbound Mall Road when she was hit by the other car.

The sheriff’s office said Klatt was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Klatt was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver was taken to Corewell Health Trenton Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
