Nurse found with over 115,000 explicit images and videos arrested for child porn, authorities say

TIPTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WMC/Gray News) - A Tennessee man was arrested after authorities said he was found with a large amount of child pornography.

Cameron Sanders, 33, a nurse, was arrested Friday after a monthslong investigation, the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office said.

Sanders’ charges include aggravated unlawful photographing of a minor, unlawful photography, solicitation of a minor by electronic means, possession of narcotics and unlawful possession of a firearm. His bond has been set at $250,000.

Tipton County authorities said Sanders’ arrest stems from an investigation after deputies were called to a home regarding the unlawful filming of a minor.

The child’s mother reported that she found hidden cameras in her daughter’s bedroom and bathroom. The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office said Sanders was secretly filming the minor while she was nude.

During the course of the investigation, detectives obtained Sanders’ phone. Because of the overwhelming amount of digital evidence, detectives enlisted the help of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Homeland Security.

“What was uncovered was very disturbing. Thus far, over 116,000 nude/explicit images, over 4,000 nude/explicit videos, and over 9,300 suspected child sex abuse photo/videos have been uncovered,” the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office said.

In addition, investigators were able to locate 10 videos of the minor in question from inside the shower, inside the home, as well as over 2,400 photos and videos of unsuspecting minor girls and teens.

A further search of the home also found eight guns stored alongside several narcotics, according to the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office.

“I don’t even know where to start,” Tipton County Sheriff Shannon Beasley said. “The allegations in this case are deeply disturbing and strike at the heart of our responsibility to protect our children and youth.”

Authorities said the case will be presented for federal prosecution.

“The exploitation of children in any form is reprehensible. The fact that Sanders works in a profession entrusted with caring for others makes these allegations even more troubling,” Beasley said. “We will use every resource available to protect our children and hold offenders accountable.”
