Former UToledo rocket drafted 22nd by Philadelphia Eagles
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Former UToledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles with pick No. 22. Mitchell became the highest pick under Toledo coach Jason Candle and the second-highest pick in program history (Dan Williams picked No. 11 in 1993).
At pick No. 22, Mitchell was the first corner selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Mitchell is the Rocket’s all-time leader in pass breakups and was only the second Rocket to ever be named All-America in consecutive seasons.
Prior to Mitchell, the highest picks under Campbell were Diontae Johnson (third round, pick 66 overall) and Kareem Hunt (third round pick 86 overall).
