Man arrested for allegedly stabbing woman on Toledo bike trail after demanding oral sex
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A 34-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times on a bike trail after her assailant asked to use her mobile phone.
According to Toledo Police, the victim was approached by a man on the Chessie Circle Trail between Start High School and Bowman Park in the afternoon on August 17.
The suspect asked to use her phone. After she agreed, he then told her to go with him into the woods for sexual activity.
After she refused, the suspect sprayed her with mace, then stabbed her three times in the torso and leg, and then ran off in the direction of the Kroger on Laskey.
The victim was taken to Toledo Hospital where she went into surgery for treatment of her wounds.
Alejandro Salazar Jr. was later arrested in the incident. He was charged with felonious assault. According to court documents, Salazar Jr. stabbed the victim in the legs and torso while on the bike trail.
Police tell 13 Action News it wasn’t a random attack.
